George Boole is one of the founders of contemporary logic. In contemporary researches on the history of logic the problem of psychologism in Boolean logic gets a new development and new understanding. These studies challenge the conventional view on the psychology of the Boolean logic, and show the evolution of Boole’s views from psychologism to antipsychologism. In our article in discussing this issue we compare ideas presented in Boole's fundamental work ‘The Laws of Thought’ and the program of meta-psychologism developed by Vladimir N. Bryushinkin in his book ‘Logic, Thinking, Information’. In our opinion, the ambiguity in interpretations of the Boole’s logic psychologism is caused by the fact that contemporaries failed to grasp the image of Boolean logic. George Boole was far ahead of his time in the sense, in which contemporary philosophy of logic is associated with the Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence. Thus, in the introduction to "Mathematical Analysis of Logic" Boole says that it is possible to interpret the logic of the "outside" as that which connects itself through the concept of number with the intuition of space and time, while the logic may be considered from the "inside" as being based on evidence of a different order, that is, on the facts that have their source in the structure of our Mind.
